Tailored Strands champagne coloured alpaca scarf

Christmas is coming so I bring you good cheer.  Champagne? Yes, but this time it is a hand-woven scarf in Tailored Strands champagne coloured 100% Australian alpaca.  A rib pattern with lines in different directions on opposite sides, gives the scarf that lovely luxurious feel associated with alpaca.  The neutral colour will match almost all of your other colours.  You have the choice of two.  The first is 1850mm x 215mm and weighs 147g, whilst the second is shorter at 1700mm x 215mm and weighs 137g.  See them soon at Aspects of Kings Park or buy direct.

Lichen coloured Tailored Strands alpaca hand-woven scarves

A few years ago I was in Japan during spring time and my Japanese host talked about the "young green" as we viewed the new growth appearing on the trees.  I was reminded of his words as I hand wove two scarves in lichen coloured Tailored Strands 100% Australian alpaca yarns.  These two slightly different patterned scarves with the luxurious feel and warmth of alpaca will enhance your feelings on these lovely sunny spring days.  One is 1820mm x 220mm weighing 147g whilst the other is 1730mm x 210mm and weighs 140g.

Green with envy you may not be, but your friends will be when they see you wearing this lovely hand-woven scarf in an emerald coloured Tailored Strands 100% Australian alpaca yarn.  The interesting pattern, which is different on each side, and the bubbly texture gives you an appealing warm scarf.  And there is plenty of it, being 1840mm x 210mm and weighing 157g.

Mango and mocha coloured alpaca handwoven scarves

Mango with mocha may not sound very appealing as a snack but these colours in Tailored Strands 100% Australian alpaca yarns gives you an appealing scarf. The chosen pattern gives you a choice of dominant brown or orange to match your mood, or your outfit, or you can choose the solid orange coloured scarf.
Two lovely soft alpaca scarves, nominally, 1800mm x 200mm and weighing 132g.

Handwoven Noro Mossa and Australian alpaca scarf

If you like colour you will love this scarf.  Noro Mossa yarn (52% wool, 16% viscose, 11% mohair, 11% silk, 10% nylon) woven in a patterned design on a claret coloured Tailored Strands 100% Australian alpac yarn.  The scarf is full of colours and textures from the Noro Mossa yarn.  A bulky feeling, soft scarf, it will brighten up your day as well as others.  A long scarf, being 1920mm x 205mm and weighing 166g, there is plenty to wrap around your neck to keep you warm, or trailing ends to show off to your friends.

Two handwoven scarves from leftover yarns

After many weaving projects you find that you collect a selection of leftover yarns.  My latest project has been to use up some of these yarns in two scarves.  A common feature of both is that I used a new supply of a purple green multi Bendigo sock yarn (70% merino wool, 30% nylon) as the weft.
In the first scarf I used leftovers of a purple, and a salmon, coloured Noro Silk Garden Sock Solo yarn (40% wool, 25% silk, 25% polyamide, 10% mohair) as the weft.  Various thickness horizontal bands of purple and salmon are superimposed on the longitudinal strips of purple and green.  An interesting effect on a scarf 1750mm x 220mm weighing 154g.
In the second scarf I used leftovers of some Noro Mossa yarns (52% wool, 16% viscose, 11% mohair, 11% silk, 10% nylon) as the weft.  The multicoloured bands from the Noro yarns are stripped through with the purple and green colours of the warp.  This is a bulky feeling, soft scarf, being 1800mm x 220mm weighing 186g, that is sure to keep you warm.

Handwoven multicoloured cashmere scarf

I have finally gotten around to weaving the remaining leftovers of cashmere yarns from previous projects.  With limited amounts of yarns I planned for a 1500mm x 160mm scarf.  Well, the final result is 1430mm x 160mm and weighing 49g with 4g not used.  The leftovers were different quantities of yarns of varying colours which I wove on a natural coloured Corriedale warp.  As I was weaving the scarf I was a bit worried with the array of different pinks with purple and moss green, but, whoa, the final product is excellent.  And being my last cashmere scarf - IT IS MINE!

Claret and grey hand-woven alpaca scarves

Claret and grey, may I say, are very popular colour combinations.  I have sold more than 11 hand-woven scarves in these colours already.  Using Tailored Strands 100% Australian alpaca yarns I have hand-woven them in the same two patterns as my previous two-tone blue scarves - can you see the same pattern as I am showing the reverse side mainly.
Two beautifully soft, and luxurious, scarves for you to choose from, with a size nominally 1850mm x 220mm and weighing 142g.
See them soon at Aspects of Kings Park or The Artisan Store Fremantle, depending upon stock movements, or unless sold sooner.
