Merino and silk

Whilst on holiday recently in the UK I visited the Farfield Mill in Sedbergh, Cumbria. This was a very interesting mill with an historical display and much excellent modern craft work. I saw some lovely hand-spun and hand-dyed merino/silk yarn spun by Rosie in Wales and purchased 150g.
I have now woven my first scarf since my return from holiday using this yarn. With a limited amount of the yarn the resultant scarf is 1420mm x 185mm and weighs 127g.
I intend putting this scarf on my stand of scarves in a Pop-up shop being planned by Leonie of Pelava. Details will be posted when available.

June Perth Upmarket

I returned to Perth on Friday from a two month holiday in Europe in time to attend my stall at the Perth Upmarket. This time my stall was enlarged to a corner location to accommodate some hand-woven garments made by Hiroko and carrying the Oz Hiroko label. The overall stall looked as follows.

My section with the Vectic Ori brand as usual looked like this.

It turned out to be a great success for us, selling a selection of scarves, clothing, needle felted animals and small crocheted baskets.
